Steve’s Plumbing & A/C Service

Steve’s plumbing was able to provide next day service for a dripping shower downspout, and even provided a free estimate. I contacted other plumbers but they could not come out for a few days. Alex came out to my house to do the evaluation. He was polite, friendly, and professional. Alex provided me a quote to replace my Delta shower faucet. The price was a little too high. I got quotes from other plumbers ranging from $199 to $285 to replace the cartridge, Steve’s Plumbing wanted over $850, just to replace the cartridge. I had to wait another day before my next plumber came out, so I decided to YouTube the issue. I found video’s online, step by step to change the cartridge. I went to Home Depot and got the Delta replacement cartridge for $58. I was able to change out the cartridge in less than 10 minutes. They also show you how to rebuild the cartridge for less than $5. What goes bad on the cartridges are the springs and rubber gaskets, which only cost about $3, so next time this happens I will just replace those items. Also, I found the cartridges online at Amazon for less than $20, if you don’t want to rebuild yours. I didn’t want to wait for shipping to Hawaii so just got the part locally. Again, 5 STAR rating is for Alex’s services, not for Steve’s Plumbing Pricing!!! If you need emergency services, which I didn’t, you may want to consider them, but I would call around first!!!

Awesome experience! So grateful to have Steve’s Plumbing on island. They got out here same day to fix our toilet. The woman I spoke to on the phone was pleasant and friendly. She was able to find someone within a couple hours to come to the house. Charles B was our technician and he is the BEST! Very friendly, professional, fast and efficient. Full transparency and gave us all options to choose from to fix our toilet situation. He exhausted all options before us having to buy a brand new toilet. Mahalo Nui loa Charles and Steve’s Plumping! Every step of the way, the staff at Steve’s Plumbing and AC were friendly, professional and a pleasure to deal with. They were able to provide prompt service for our HVAC repair needs. Our technician, Ryan Y, arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem and was knowledgeable, very personable and provided great service. Good customer service is rare and very hard to come by these days but Steve’s Plumbing and AC does it right! Much appreciated and highly recommended if you want fast, reliable, friendly service.

I was having my 30 gallon electric heater replaced. It was in an odd spot above my washer and dryer, about 6.5 feet off the ground. My technician was Nick. The consultation on Saturday was quick and informative. The scheduling was a little off, but I believe that has something to do with their office. The initial quote was about $2500 for a new heater, $500 for installation, and $2000 for removal of the old unit. I was able to go to city mill and buy my own unit for $600. They were ok with me using my own bought heater. Total cost was $600 for my own heater, and $2500 for removal of old heater and installation of new heater. The service was quick and done really well. The also cleaned up the entire space of the old heater. Hot water works fine now. The price is a little higher than most plumbers. But they pretty much can service you within a couple of days if you contacting them and the quality of the work is amazing. I think the price is justified by the work they do. I would recommend nick and use Steve’s plumbing again. The only small thing, was that they did damage part of the light switch. Not a big deal. I can fix it for like $3. But I would have appreciated it if they said something.

I just moved to Hawaii in the military and only been in my home for less than a week. I had a water leak in my water values that wouldn’t stop. I called Steve’s Plumbing company and was very nice, professional and grateful to help me. Santiago, Ryan, and John were honest and very kind to get this fixed.
